Funerals and Remembrance Garden

A funeral marks the end of life on earth. It is a time for family and friends to grieve and give thanks for that special person’s life and commend them into God’s keeping.

The Chaplain and the Worship Team Priests conduct funerals in many places in Mallorca. It is usual for a service to be held at one of the crematoriums on the island within 48 hours of a death. In the months to come a memorial service is often arranged, to give time for all to gather for a celebration of life, and time to say goodbye.

The Anglican Church is amongst many other buildings and venues which are used for this purpose.

The cost of a funeral conducted by our Chaplain is 300 euros plus travel expenses if outside Palma.

All venue and catering charges, plus the cost of crematorium and cemetery services are charged to you directly.

The Garden of Remembrance

The garden, alongside the Anglican church in Palma, is a Garden of Remembrance. Plaques, in memory of loved ones who had an affinity to the church, fill the wall space. The ‘left’ wall is now being used for memorial plaques.

The gardens are beautifully maintained by a kind volunteer, and it is a very well loved and cared for, memorial space.

Access to the garden is through the main gate of the church and then through another gate on the right. The gates are unlocked each morning at 10 am and access is available until the last group leaves the building, usually about 8 pm.

The Priest or the Administration Secretary are pleased to give information on the process of using this space for a memorial to a loved one. The creation and installation costs start from 500 euros.
