A little something to ponder – from an man in his 70’s heading towards 80 and the changes he is feeling in himself.

#1 After loving my parents, my siblings, my spouse, my children, my friends, now I have started loving myself.

#2 I just realized that I am not “Atlas”. The world does not rest on my shoulders.

#3 I now stopped bargaining with vegetables & fruits vendors. A few pennies more is not going to burn a hole in my pocket but it might help the poor fellow save for his daughter’s school fees.

#4 I pay my waitress a big tip. The extra money might bring a smile to her face. She is toiling much harder for a living than me.

#5 I stopped telling the elderly that they’ve already narrated that story many times. The story makes them walk down the memory lane & relive the past.

#6 I have learned not to correct people even when I know they are wrong. The onus of making everyone perfect is not on me. Peace is more precious than perfection.

#7 I give compliments freely & generously. Compliments are a mood enhancer not only for the recipient, but also for me. And a small tip for the recipient of a compliment, never, NEVER turn it down, just say “Thank You”.

#8 I have learned not to bother about a crease or a spot on my shirt. Personality speaks louder than appearances.

#9 I walk away from people who don’t value me. They might not know my worth, but I do.

#10 I remain cool when someone plays dirty to outrun me in the rat race. I am not a rat & neither am I in any race.

#11 I am learning not to be embarrassed by my emotions. It’s my emotions that make me human.

#12 I have learned that it’s better to drop the ego than to break a relationship. My ego will keep me aloof, whereas with relationships I will never be alone.

#13 I have learned to live each day as if it’s the last. After all, it might be the last.

#14 I am doing what makes me happy. I am responsible for my happiness, and I owe it to myself. Happiness is a choice. You can be happy at any time, just Why do we have to wait to be 70 or 80, why can’t we practice this at any stage and age?

23 OCTOBER 2020

Fun Friday and worth a read.

Pay special attention to the wording and spelling. if you know the bible, even a little, you’ll find this hilarious! It comes from a Caithness school test.

Kids were asked questions about the old and new testaments.  Here is the last set of 9 statements about the bible were written by children. They have not been retouched or corrected. incorrect spelling has been left in.

When the three wise guys from the east side arrived they found Jesus in the manager.

Jesus was born because Mary had an immaculate contraption.

Jesus enunciated the golden rule, which says to do unto others before they do one to you. He also explained a man doth not live by sweat alone.

It was a miricle when Jesus rose from the dead and managed to get the tombstone off the entrance.

The people who followed the lord were called the 12 decibels.

The epistels were the wives of the apostles.

One of the oppossums was St. Matthew who was also a taximan.

St. Paul cavorted to christianity, he preached holy acrimony, which is another name for marraige.

Christians have only one spouse. This is called monotony.

16 OCTOBER 2020

Fun Friday chuckles:

Pay special attention to the wording and spelling. if you know the bible, even a little, you’ll find this hilarious! It comes from a Caithness school test. Kids were asked questions about the old and new testaments. The following 10 statements about the bible were written by children. They have not been retouched or corrected. incorrect spelling has been left in.

1. In the first book of the bible, Guinness. god got tired of creating the world so he took the sabbath off.

2. Adam and eve were created from an apple tree. Noah’s wife was Joan of ark. Noah built and ark and the animals came on in pears.

3. The jews were a proud people and throughout history they had trouble with unsympathetic genitles

4. Samson slayed the philistines with the axe of the apostles.

5. Moses led the jews to the red sea where they made unleavened bread, which is bread without any ingredients.

6. The egyptians were all drowned in the dessert. Afterwards, Moses went up to mount cyanide to get the ten commandments.

7. The first commandment was when Eve told Adam to eat the apple.

8. The seventh commandment is thou shalt not admit adultery.

9. The greatest miricle in the bible is when Joshua told his son to stand still and he obeyed him.

10. Solomon, one of Davids sons, had 300 wives and 700 porcupines.

Food for thought 🌻

Charles Chaplin died at the age of 88 He left US senate with 4 Statements:

(1) Nothing is eternal in this world, not even our problems.

(2) I like to walk in the rain, because no one can see my tears.

(3) The most wasted day in life is the day we do not laugh.

(4) The six best doctors in the world ….

1. Sun,

2. Rest,

3. Exercise,

4. Diet,

5. Self-esteem

6. Friends.

Keep them at all stages of your life and enjoy a healthy life

… If you see the moon You will see the beauty of God

….. If you see the sun You will see the power of God

… If you see the mirror, you will see the best creation of God.

So, believe it. We are all tourists, God is our travel agent who has already fixed our itineraries, reservations and destinations … Trust Him and enjoy LIFE Life is just a trip! Start living and stop existing!!!! Share with people who are important to you in LIFE To understand it, you have to visit these 3 places:

– the Hospital 🏥

– The Prison 🏫

– The Cemetery 🌑

At the hospital, you will understand that nothing is more beautiful than health. In Prison, you will see that liberty is the most precious thing. In the cemetery you will realize that life is worthless, the ground on which we walk today will be our roof tomorrow. Let us make the efforts to remain humble by having the fear of God and the respect of our neighbors. Pls give to people in need no matter how small. You are God’s Treasurer.
